Paramedics play an important role in the emergency response system.  Paramedics are trained to assess and recognize patient injuries and illnesses, provide advanced life support, including fluid and drug therapy, respond to medical emergencies, car accidents, heart attacks, drownings and more and provide immediate medical treatment and transport to a hospital or other medical facility.  Paramedic handle incidents as varied as automobile accidents, heart attacks, slips and falls, childbirth, and gunshot wounds all require immediate medical attention. EMTs and paramedics provide this vital service as they care for and transport the sick or injured to a medical facility.

This certificate program is designed to create the new-age public emergency health and safety professionals, and educate and provide students with the knowledge, skills and ability to function at an advanced level on an ambulance or rescue squad in the Pre-hospital setting as a Paramedic.  As a paramedic, you will administer intravenous fluids, stabilize broken bones, perform emergency childbirth procedures, administer medications and more.  Students learn to use ambulance, rescue vehicle and hospital emergency room equipment to provide high-level emergency medical care and stabilize emergency patients.  The certificate will also allow the paramedic to also function in supervisory and management positions.  Complete in 12 months!
