Essential Skills  for Home Care Professionals

The Certificate in Home Care Management provides training in child care, home management assistance, personal care assistance; and home health care services. This Certificate program meets the certification standards for the Live-in Caregiver Program in Canada and provides the required education and training needed for applying for work permit to work in the Home Care Services field in Canada and elsewhere.  The Certificate examines the essential skills most important for home care professionals.

This program can be completed in two semesters of three mandatory courses.  Each course is four weeks in length and taught in sequence to allow students to focus on one course at a time.  Complete in 6 months!

The Home Care Management prepares students for working in the Caregiving Industry.  Students will learn how to provide personal care and home assistance in home environment; provide professional childcare services; get hands-on, practical knowledge and skills necessary to give care in an emergency situation; work with other health care professionals to provide quality care for elderly or sick individuals in a home environment; master skills such as CPR, First AID and other life saving; provide the best possible care of an elderly, ill, or disabled person in a home setting.
